  • 10/31/2014
  • 9:15 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Center for Advancement of Laboratory Science, State Hygienic Laboratory, Coralville

The 2nd Annual Iowa Climate Science Educators Forum will take place on Halloween, Friday, October 31, 9:15 am – 2:30 pm at the Center for the Advancement of Laboratory Science, at the State Hygienic Laboratory at the University of Iowa, Coralville.

The Forum will focus on the public and environmental health impacts on Iowans from climate change. The lead scientists and authors of the Iowa Climate Statement 2014: Impacts on the Health of Iowans will present the statement and discuss the impacts now being seen in Iowa.  This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest climate impacts on public health in Iowa and learn more about what the climate models say about Iowa’s future weather extremes. This will also be a great chance to network with Iowa public and environmental health professionals as well as public and private college and university science leaders.

The State Hygienic Laboratory will be offering tours of their new facility starting at 9:15 am. The Forum starts are 10:00 am.

The Forum is free and lunch will be provided.
