CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
At the end of this educational conference participants will be able to:
Describe the public health and medical response and recovery components of a disaster
Describe the importance and vulnerability of communication systems in a disaster
List several improvements needed to make to current Emergency Operations plans and procedures.

Registration check-in will begin 7:00 AM, with the program beginning each day at 8:00 AM Registration deadline is November 8th
CANCELLATION POLICY Registration fees are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend you may ask for your registration to be transferred to an alternate person. Please notify the Center for Preparedness Education (center@preped.org) prior to the event date of any substitutions.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT?
The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

UNMC CCE EMS/Trauma Division will award 11.0 hours of EMS Continuing Education Credits at the successful completion of this conference. Participants should retain the agenda, objectives and lecture descriptions for their records.
Mercy College of Health Sciences will award 11.0 hours of Optional CEH. CEH’s earned will be applicable for renewal of an EMS Provider Certification/license in Iowa.
This program has been approved for up to 11 hours in management education toward certification as a Certified Medical Director in Long Term Care (AMDA CMD). The AMDA CMD program is administered by the American Medical Directors Certification Program. Each physician should claim only those hours actually spent on the activity.
