Event: Great Central U.S. Shakeout Earthquake Drill

FEMA encourages businesses to ShakeOut on February 7, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. when more than two million people will participate in the 2012 Great Central U.S. Shakeout drill.

This is an opportunity for businesses to engage employees in a simultaneous drill to practice the recommended action during an earthquake which is Drop, Cover, and Hold On and to exercise earthquake plans.

Businesses, whether in the Central U.S. or elsewhere, are encouraged to register at www.shakeout.org/centralus.

Participation is an easy and effective means to increase your earthquake and overall preparedness, as well as to get your employees, customers and community talking about preparedness.
