Graham Garner, Vice President for Marketing and Communication, Wartburg College
Graham is a higher education professional, focused on developing institutional brand identity and communication strategy. He has served in advancement leadership most of his career, having been a director of alumni relations, development, web communications, and university relations. He served these roles at Idaho State University and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. A shift in focus to marketing and communication led him to Wartburg College where he is currently Vice President for Marketing and Communication.
Prior to his career in higher education, Graham was a political reporter for the Idaho State Journal, where he covered government and higher education.
Graham received his bachelor’s degree in political science and Master of Public Administration from Idaho State University. He is working on his dissertation to complete a doctorate of education in educational leadership, also from Idaho State.

Jon Davis, Deputy Director, Polk County EMA
Jon has been involved in public safety since 1992, which is well before Social Media took shape. He began his career as a volunteer firefighter with the Ankeny Fire Department. Since then he has worked in various roles for the Ankeny Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Des Moines Police Department, FEMA Urban Search and Rescue, and the National Urban Search and Rescue Incident Support Team. Most recently, Jon was appointed as a Communications Unit Leader of the National Urban Search and Rescue Incident Support Team. In these various roles, Jon has served as a responder to numerous natural disasters including Hurricanes Katrina, Dean, Dolly, Gustav, and Hanna.
Jon is a certified Fire Instructor I, a certified Hazardous Materials Technician and is rated as a Weapons of Mass Destruction First Responder.

In his current role at GreatAmerica, John focuses on the strategic design and implementation of social media and email marketing. Additionally, he advises GreatAmerica employees and customers alike on the benefits and risks of social media.
John has a strong background in television with previous positions in Washington, DC, Iowa Public Television and KSMQ Public Television in Minnesota where he worked as a producer and director. John graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Communications/Electronic Media.
