Want to become a Partner in Preparedness

Partners in Preparedness was created to recognize organizations whether they are public, private or a nonprofit for positive preparedness efforts they are making in their organization, while encouraging sustained investment to enhance preparedness. The Partners in Preparedness certification provides a framework for organizations dedicated to preventing, preparing for, responding to and recovering from disasters | business disruption events through public-private collaboration.

Overview

Organizations invest a tremendous amount of time, money and resources to make their ventures successful, so it would seem natural for organizations to take the steps to protect those investments. A well-prepared organization can protect its employees, current and potential customers and suppliers. Effectively responding to a local disaster also helps protect jobs, tax revenues, supplier income streams, investor returns and the well-being of customers. The well-prepared organization aids in the overall recovery by not becoming a victim itself.

Emergencies are inevitable. Preparation is key to being successful at most things. When it comes to the ability of your organization to remain operational in the face of any potential disaster or mere inconvenient interruption – how prepared you are ultimately is up to you.

The Partners in Preparedness certification is a visible statement that your organization has committed to improving your level of preparedness. In adherence to the guidelines, organizations can publicly display the Partners in Preparedness seal to show their commitment to preparedness.

"Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure."… Confucius
